The AI Safety Summit outside of London at Bletchley Park will begin on November 1st, 2023. Among the 46 academic and civil society institutions, prominent universities like Oxford and Birmingham will be present, along with international institutions like Stanford. However, some notable institutions, such as Cambridge and MIT, will not be participating. Additionally, multilateral organizations like the United Nations will be present.
The participating countries include the U.S., various European countries, Ukraine, and Brazil. Russia is not participating due to sanctions, and, China’s attendance is currently unknown. The attendees from businesses include Google, Meta, Microsoft, Salesforce, OpenAI, X AI, ARM, Nvidia, Graphcore, and several startups.
